Important conditions of participation in Taikai
1. Nature of the event
The Taikai is the event organized by the Bujinkan Collado Dojo Association, an association integrated into the Spanish Kickboxing and Muaythai Federation —FEKM—, consisting of a martial, training and associative meeting directed by Mr. Nagato Sensei, Daishihan from Bujinkan Dōjō and Sōke by Shindenfudo Ryū.
The event is intended for the practice, teaching, dissemination and improvement of martial arts linked to Bujinkan, as well as the participation of authorized assistants and instructors.
2. Participation and access to the event
The event is open only to current members of Hatsumi Sōke’s Bujinkan Dōjō organization.
Admission to Taikai requires prior registration and full payment. Access will not be allowed to any person who does not properly prove their registration and payment.
It is not possible to attend the event solely as a spectator or “just to watch”. Access is reserved for registered participants.
Entry to the Taikai is personal and non-transferable. If a participant cannot attend, they cannot be replaced by another person unless expressly authorized by the organization.
Registration is only available for the full seminar. Even if a participant can only attend one of the days, they must register for the entire event and pay the full fee.
3. Rescheduling of the event
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the organizers, such as health problems, international incidents, conflicts or other circumstances that prevent Nagato Sensei from attending the Taikai on the scheduled dates, the organization will attempt to reschedule the event.
4. Clothing and footwear
Courtesy of Nagato Sensei during training, participants must wear only a suitable keikogi or black kimono, with patches or logos exclusively of Bujinkan.
In the exceptional case that Nagato Sensei trains in a T-shirt, participants will also be permitted to train in a T-shirt, provided they adhere to the colours of budo and wear appropriate attire suitable for the practice.
As for footwear, attendees will be able to use tabi with fabric sole, tabi with leather sole o socks during training.
They are not allowed on the tatami tabi with rubber soles; sports shoes; or bare feet.
5. Health, safety and fitness for practice
Attendees declare and acknowledge that they are in good health for martial practice and that they do not suffer from any physical or psychological condition incompatible with their participation in the Taikai.
In case of doubt about their physical or medical fitness, the participant should consult with a healthcare professional before participating in the training.
There will be a specific safety equipment present throughout the event. Security personnel may accompany Nagato Sensei. Attendees must respect their role and follow the instructions they can provide.
In addition, there will be a medical assistance team at the event location to provide help in case of emergency.
6. Minors
If minors under 18 years of age participate in the training, it will be essential that they are accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian registered in the Taikai. The parent or guardian will be responsible for the minor throughout the development of the event.
7. Weapons and training material
No real weapons can be brought into or used in the Taikai compound.
The entry of sharp, sharp, metallic weapons or any other object that may compromise the safety of participants, attendees, guests, organization personnel or Nagato Sensei is prohibited.
8. Recordings, photographs and image
Recording videos, taking photos or using flash is not allowed during training.
Only photographers, cameras or people expressly authorized by the organization may take recordings or photographs.
Organizers will take reasonable steps to ensure that there are opportunities to take non-flash photos of or with Nagato Sensei, but always outside of the training itself.
9. Sale of products and merchandise
No goods, merchandise not authorized by the Taikai or other items may be sold or offered for sale on or near the event venue.
Any participant who fails to comply with this condition may be expelled or denied entry, without the right to a refund.
10. Translation during the event
There will be an interpreter appointed to translate Nagato Sensei into English and Spanish.
11. Failure to comply with the rules
Failure to comply with any of the Taikai rules will entitle the organization to deny entry or expel the non-compliant person from the event.
Expulsion or denial of entry due to non-compliance with the conditions will not give the right to a refund.
Organizational decisions adopted for reasons of safety, order, health, respect for the teacher, protection of participants or correct development of the event will be mandatory for all attendees.
12. Intellectual property
All contents of this Taikai website —texts, images, logos, designs, videos, documents and other elements— are the property of the Bujinkan Collado Dojo Association (BCD), or are used with the corresponding authorization. Reproduction, distribution, public communication, transformation or any other use of the contents is prohibited without prior written authorization from the BCD Association. Any unauthorized use may give rise to the exercise of the corresponding legal actions.
13. Gifts to Nagato Sensei
For organizational, protocol and logistical reasons for the return trip to Japan, direct delivery of gifts, gifts, souvenirs or other objects to Nagato Sensei during the Taikai will not be permitted.
It should be taken into account that Nagato Sensei will not be able to transport additional objects delivered during the event on his return trip to Japan, especially those that, due to their volume, weight, fragility, nature or customs restrictions, may make movement difficult.
